Research suggests Choline may help cognative function and prevent memory loss

Phosphatidylcholine is proving to be an excellent supplement to help give you a brain boost and help combat the decrease in mental performance associated with aging.

So just what is phosphatidylcholine and what does it do?
Choline is a vitamin similar to the B-vitamins. Choline serves to protect our livers from accumulating fat, as the precursor molecule for the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, and other benefits. Over recent years, there has been a vast amount of research, and there are now hints that choline may be essential not only for the brain development of fetuses and infants, but may also help prevent memory loss associated with aging.

Foods that are high in Choline include liver, eggs, beef, tofu, and cauliflower.

The recommended daily choline intake for adult men is 550mg/day and for adult women is 425mg/day.
It is possible to have too much choline, if you are supplementing with pills it may be easy to have too much so be careful there.
